Carol B. White, Principal
Prior to starting CBWhite in 1998, Carol spent more than 15 years as a market research consultant to Fortune 500 corporations, absorbing the best marketing practices across a wide range of industries. In the last 10 years, her marketing expertise has been translated for and successfully applied to more than 40 clients in the nonprofit arena.
Launching CBWhite gave Carol the opportunity to combine the type of work she enjoyed with her passion for community involvement. Based on experience and her own market research, she was certain the nonprofit sector would benefit from a more strategic approach to marketing. A decade later, she feels fortunate to be working with clients she cares about, providing services and expertise they need.
Carol holds a BA in Economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago. She guest lectures at the University of Chicago, has led a marketing seminar at the Donors Forum of Chicago and served on the Board of Directors for Chicago Women in Philanthropy.
She is also the co-author of an illuminating white paper, titled Third Sector Leadership in Chicago: The first portrait of executive leaders in Chicago’s human service agencies. View the PDF
